Hey gamers! This weekend is a special Commander Challenge at my LGS. It’s Hallowe’en, so it’s going to be a costumed affair, with a prize for wearing one, and a better prize for best costume!
I could have done any number of things, but a trip to the grocery store earlier this month made my decision for me.

I bought this box of Booberry cereal, because it’s part of a complete breakfast, alongside juice, toast, milk, a multivitamin, a kale smoothie, 3 espressos, a whole clove of raw garlic, and a stack of precisely 3 pancakes with choice of fruit topping or table syrup. And kids think parents buy it because it’s fun or something.

On the back is this very convincing Booberry mask. I’ll be cutting it out myself, and attaching it to my head somehow. Throw a spooky black cloak overtop and I’ve got my costume! I can even enable some fun person who wants to make a ‘cereal killer’ joke. Probably also me.
So what does Booberry play? Well, there turned out to be a pretty perfect Commander. Not only does it fit the theme, it’s something I think I’ll only want to play once. It’s Saint Traft and Rem Karolus. Right?

Really what I’m doing is building around the trio of original cereal monsters, and making myself some fun tokens. Like these.

And here’s the deck. It taps, it untaps. It’s not complicated. I only used cards I already had, and while I don’t own a ton of Convoke cards, it should be a lot of fun. I just want to make tokens, and give everyone the Second Breakfast of their nightmares! …Uh, dreams.
Let's Get Cereal
Conclusion
I doubt this deck will be much of a gamer, but it should be a crowd-pleaser. Plus I’m going to give away the tokens. They have the website on them.
It might be too shameless, but we’ll see. Will I get votes? Or will I draft the bottom of the prize pool? Play by play next week!
Thanks for reading!
