The Barigord Art & Film Weekender – 07/01/23 – Plein air painting, Posters, & Andrew Wade at the TO Fringe

This is the weekly wrap-up of what’s happening in the world of Barigord arts. While we’re probably best known for making films, we dabble in all sorts of other art forms. Plus we love to share and connect! Leave a comment or a link so we can see your artwork too!

Happy Canada Day! It’s been a busy one, so I’m going to keep it all short.

3 things to talk about this week: week 2 of plein air painting, a poster and trailer for our latest film, and Andrew Wade at the Toronto Fringe! Let’s go!

Painting en Plein Air

Later this month, I’m participating in the Steveston Grand Prix of Art. I’m really excited, and I’ve been training. Here’s my submission for week 2. If you know where it is, I win, but this is tough and kinda unspecific. The location is down at the bottom of the post.

Just like last week, I painted in random acrylics on homemade paper. It took 2 hours, and I decided to call it quits after that. I could have added some detail, and kinda regret not doing it in a few places. Fairly pleased with it though.

Window of Opportunity Poster and Trailer

We recently made the Top 10 of the 24hr Film Race 2023. Our film, ‘Window of Opportunity’ is under wraps, and will premiere during the 9th Annual Cobb International Film Festival (August 3-6, 2023).

Our job now was partly to create a poster and trailer for the film, and here they are!

Andrew Wade at the Toronto Fringe

Andrew is right up above in the poster and trailer, but he’s also in Toronto at the Fringe!

You may know Andrew as an accomplished and award-winning playwright and performer in Fringe festivals across Canada. Here’s all the promo goodies for his current show!

And you can buy tickets right here! You should buy them. Buy lots and take all your friends.

July is off to an awesome start! Hope yours is just as amazing.

Thanks for Reading!
