We are very excited to announce that APTPOP, an artistic collective in New Westminster, BC, will be screening films by Barigord Studios August 20th, including Q&A and interactions with some of the Barigord crew, including Josh Hallem (me), who does a lot of the producing and production work.
The event is located in APTPOP’s studio location, 712 12th St. in New Westminster BC, inside Arrieta Art Studios.
The event runs from 7:00pm-9:00pm with doors at 6:30

Street parking is available, and the gallery is accessible by the 128, 155, and 123 busses.
APTPOP is an art gallery dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of artists and promoting the fundamental celebration of art, in all its formats. The gallery endeavours to showcase Canadian artists of all levels of experience who are in search of a space for their work. In the past, the gallery has showcased mediums as diverse as ink ballets, slam poetry, bands, and dance compositions.

What films will they be screening?
Centre Frame! Our Lego stop-motion creation for the Abbotsford 48hr film competition, 2024.
The film won the Creative Goodness award, as well as Best Director in the competition.

It’s going to be great to talk about the film, what went into making a Lego stop-motion film in 48hrs, and some insider info, like how the film got its name.
Other Barigord films will be screened, but will be dictated by time and the curation of APTPOP. You’ll just have to come and see. Hope to see you there!
