Hey filmmakers, film lovers, and people who just stumbled in off the internet. Today is the start of the 100hr International Film Race 2024, presented by Film Racing in Georgia, USA.
We are a frequent participant in these competitions, and have been a finalist in 3 of the last 4 Film Races! We’d love another great finish, but really we want to have made another great film.
At 5pm PST today, we’ll get 3 Required Elements for our film. These will be a Theme, Action and Prop. All must be included in some way, but the Theme is especially important and should be central to the film.
This time we’re adding a behind-the-scenes camera and capturing our process for a feature documentary, on Film Racing, by Film Racing.
In just 4 days or so, we’ll have both a new short film, and our contribution to that documentary. Very cool. Getting a film finished is a big deal, and despite the crunch of time, we want to do our best work.
We often guess what the Required Elements will be, and we have 3 guessers this time, myself included (Theme/Action/Prop)
Andrew (Producer, Writer, Actor) – Crisis/Eating an Apple/Feather
David C. (Actor) – Resilience/Opening a Package/Teddy Bear
Josh (Producer, Writer, Director, Editor) – Poetic Justice/Constructing a Tower/Bubble Wrap
