Barigord Studios is in Vancouver, BC, and we’re surrounded by Hummingbirds.
We have a little feeder out front, and usually one dedicated and feisty bird who will fight for it. Yeah they fight. It can be a little scary, because they move so fast.
But not always. Hummingbirds spend a lot of time just chilling out, just like us. Don’t believe all the hype: that these birds live at full speed.
I’ve spent lots of time recently recording them through our front window while they sit and chill. I film in 120fps, and slow down the recordings.
